In accordance with Article 13 of the European Regulation on the Protection of Personal Data Reg. EU 201/679, Luís & João Travel Lda. has been carrying out its activity in the field of passenger transport in light vehicles, including the provision of various services in this area, recognizing the importance of protecting the personal data of its Customers.

 

In this Privacy Policy, you may find all the information necessary to better understand how we treat your personal data.

 

1. Responsible for Treatment

LUÍS & JOÃO - TRAVEL, LDA.  (hereinafter referred to as "Luís & João Travel", with its head office at R. Ricardo Reis, nº 16, 1º Esqº, Odivelas, 2675-238 Odivelas, NIF 515656720, registration RNAVT n. 10720, is the Controller of data collected in the context of the provision of services. 2. Data collected

Luís & João Travel, in the context of the performance of the services requested by the Client, may request the indication of any or some of the following personal data:

• Full name;

• Date of birth;

•  Address of residence;

• Email address;

• Mobile phone;

• Identification number (BI/CC or NIF);

3. Purposes of Treatment and Legal Bas

​

We collected your data to manage our contractual relationship with you and provide the services you have requested from us. To that extent we may send you marketing communications about our services unless you refuse such communications by sending us an email to that effect.

 

The personal data collected in each case are those requested for the provision and services and will be intended for the purpose inherent in each specific situation, without which we will not be able to provide you with the requested service.

 

In accordance with the provisions of Article 13-A/3 of Law 41/2008 of August 18, Luís & João Travel may use your data, sending communications related to services analogous to those you have hired.

4. Category of recipients of data

In order to be treated appropriately for the purposes referred to in paragraph 2, will allow access to your personal data by the following entities:

 

1. Third parties carrying out part of the data processing activity, on behalf of and under the responsibility of Luís & João Travel, on the basis of a subcontracting contract (subcontractors) concluded pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR; or to perform data processing activities in co-responsibility with Luís & João Travel (where applicable and on the basis of information provided in the specific case);

2. individuals, employees and/or employees who have been designated to carry out one or more activities to process their data as "Authorized Persons" as provided for in Article 29 of the GDPR;

3. Your personal data may be communicated to public entities or judicial authorities, if so required by law or to prevent or punish the commission of crimes. In accordance with Article 4/9 of the GDPR, "public authorities which may receive personal data in the context of specific investigations under Union or Member State law shall not be considered recipients".

 

Where the purposes of processing include cooperation with third parties to carry out promotional campaigns (discounts), "auctions" for the presentation of the best marketing conditions, among other similar activities, your personal data which is absolutely necessary for those third parties to be able to perform the discounts or provision to which they have been linked will be sent to them, as expressly provided for in the general terms and conditions and specifically applicable. Detailed information will be provided to you about this communication to third parties in their terms and conditions (where applicable) and on the website dedicated to each of the actions.

 

Please note that Luís & João Travel or subcontracted entities may store your data outside the EEA. In that case we will ensure that those subcontractors are subject to legislation which has been regarded by the European Commission as providing an appropriate degree of protection and are therefore covered by an adequacy decision or equivalent.

 

5. Conservation Period

Luís & João Travel will retain your data until the end of the service provision, for the purposes related to the services requested.  This is without prejudice to the exercise of its right of opposition where applicable.

 

6. Rights of Data Subjects

You may exercise the rights provided for by the GDPR, through email at geral@luistravel.pt, such as the Right of Access to your personal information, the Right to rectification of your data, Right to The Payment of Data or Right of Opposition for the purpose of sending marketing communications.

The Client also has the right to lodge a complaint/complaint with the CNPD - National Data Protection Commission (www.cnpd.pt).  In this case, we ask for special care to contact us prior to filing the complaint with the CNPD, with a view to the rapid resolution of the reported problem.

 

7. Safety

Luís & João Travel has implemented and maintained security measures and technical and organizational policies to ensure the security of the personal data we process.

 

These measures include, inter alia, the execution of confidentiality agreements with our employees and suppliers; policies for restricting and controlling access to personal data; destruction or anonymization of personal data that is no longer necessary for the purposes that determined its collection.

 

Since information security depends in part on the security of your computer or electronic device that you use to communicate with us, and also on the security you employ to protect usernames and passwords, please take appropriate measures to protect this information.
