In Sintra you feel like time stands still! The Portuguese village that Lord Byron described as a “Glorious Eden”… perhaps due to the vegetation that surrounds it, the stones covered with moss or the vigorous vines that surround the trees, is only 30 minutes from Lisbon. The visit to the Castelo dos Mouros, built in the 8th century and the Pena Palace built during the 18th century, offers us a journey through the history of Portugal and a broad understanding of the influence of different cultures in the country. On the way to Cascais we will pass through Cabo da Roca, the most western point of Europe. The gaze is fixed on the immensity of the sea and the horizon line makes us travel to other lands…. Cascais, a fishing village with a beautiful bay, has in recent decades become an important tourist spot, due to its landscapes, beaches and proximity to the capital.
